The Brewers start a ten-game road trip Friday at Wrigley Field that leads the team into the All-Star break. The Crew finished up a 8-1 home stand with a sweep of the Astros. So far this year, the Brewers are 4-5 against the Cubs. The only series the Brewers won this year against the Cubs was at Wrigley in April. RHP Yovani Gallardo (1-0, 2.70) vs. LHP Rich Hill (5-5, 3.13)
This start appears to be Gallardo's last start for the near future. Chris Capuano will be returning to the rotation on Tuesday and Gallardo will go to the bullpen according to what Ned Yost is saying right now. In his last start, Gallardo threw very well against the Royals. Gallardo pitched seven innings, gave up one run and struck out eight in a no-decision. He will be making his first career start against the Cubs.
Hill is off coming a very nice start against the White Sox. He threw five and two thirds innings and gave up one run while striking out six in a no-decision. The Cubs took the lead later in the game and ended up beating the White Sox. Hill is 1-1 with a 3.26 ERA in five June starts. He faced the Brewers twice earlier in the season, winning the first start and losing the second. Hill is 1-1 with a 2.52 ERA in four career appearances against the Brewers, three of which were starts. Prince Fielder, Kevin Mench, and Corey Hart all homered off Hill earlier this year.

RHP Ben Sheets (9-3, 3.09) vs. LHP Sean Marshall (4-2, 2.44)
Sheets continued his roll last time out with a nice start against the Astros. He threw six innings and gave up one run to pick up his ninth win of the year. Sheets is now 4-0 with a 1.60 ERA in five June starts. He faced the Cubs twice this season and is 0-1 in those two starts. In his last start against the Cubs, Sheets left after three scoreless innings due to a groin injury. Sheets is 7-7 with a 3.94 ERA in 20 career starts against the Cubs. Derrek Lee is 14-39 with five homers and 11 RBI against Sheets in his career.
Marshall threw six and a third scoreless innings and gave up five hits against the White Sox in his last start. He picked his fourth win of the season in that start. Marshall is 4-0 with a 2.32 ERA in five starts in the month of June. He faced the Brewers last year on September 26th. Marshall picked up the win after pitching six innings and giving up three runs. Bill Hall was 2-2 with a homer against Marshall in that game.

RHP Dave Bush (6-6, 5.06) vs. RHP Jason Marquis (5-4, 3.46)
Bush now has a three-game winning streak after picking up a win in relief Wednesday against the Astros. He pitched two innings in the the Brewers' 11-inning win over Houston. Bush is 3-1 with a 3.51 ERA in five appearances, four of which were starts in the month of June. Since the end of May, Bush has shaved more than run off his ERA. He faced the Cubs twice this year and lost both starts. Bush is 0-2 with a 7.50 ERA in those two starts. In his career against the Cubs, Bush is 1-4 with a 4.15 ERA in seven starts. Alfonso Soriano is 6-14 with two doubles in his career against Bush.
Marquis gave up three runs in five and two thirds innings of work in his last start against the Rockies. The Cubs won the game but Marquis did not pick up the victory and has not won since May 9th. In his only start against the Brewers this year, Marquis threw five and a third innings and gave up one earned run. Marquis picked up a no-decision and the Cubs won the game. After strong two months in April and May, Marquis is 0-2 with a 5.09 ERA in five June starts. Marquis is 2-4 with a 4.23 ERA in 14 career appearances against the Brewers, 12 of which were starts. Bill Hall is 5-11 with a double, a homer and two RBI against Marquis in his career.
